France Paris Pride March Set for October 3 After Heatwave Postponement, Over 500,000 Expected

Following its summer cancellation caused by an intense heatwave, the 2026 Paris Pride March (Marche des Fiertés) is set to return to the French capital on Saturday, October 3, beginning with official speeches at Place d'Italie at 12:30 PM before traversing historic boulevards such as Boulevard Saint-Michel and Rue de Rivoli to conclude at Place de la Bastille, where a free musical concert ("Podium") will entertain attendees from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM; first held in France in 1981, this landmark demonstration is expected to rally more than 500,000 participants in a vibrant, determined atmosphere demanding universal equality and respect.
